AdaptOnyx is developing an intelligent adaptive learning and assessment platform designed to transform how financial literacy is taught, measured, and understood.

We go beyond asking whether a student answered correctly. We seek to understand how each learner thinks, learns, decides, responds to support, corrects misconceptions, and improves over time.

Beyond Traditional Financial Education

Traditional financial education often focuses on content delivery and right-or-wrong assessment.

But a correct answer does not always tell us whether a student truly understands the financial concept, and an incorrect answer does not tell us why the student struggled.

AdaptOnyx is being developed to capture a richer picture of the learning process. Through interactive financial dilemmas, adaptive challenges, feedback, hints, reflection, and correction opportunities, the platform generates evidence about both learning outcomes and the process behind them.

What AdaptOnyx Seeks to Understand

The platform is designed to map and assess multiple dimensions of financial learning, including:

  • Financial Knowledge

    What does the learner understand?

  • Financial Reasoning

Why did the learner make a particular decision?

  • Decision-Making

How does the learner approach authentic financial dilemmas?

  • Confidence

How certain is the learner about the decision?

  • Learning Support

When and how does the learner use hints and scaffolding?

  • Misconception Correction

Can the learner identify and correct an error after receiving feedback?

  • Transfer of Learning

Can newly acquired knowledge be applied to a different financial situation?

From Data to Actionable Insight

AdaptOnyx is designed to turn learning interactions into meaningful educational evidence.

The goal is to provide educators with a real-time picture of student strengths, learning gaps, misconceptions, and progress: at the individual, classroom, school, and potentially system level.

This can support more personalized learning, formative assessment, targeted intervention, and evidence-based educational decision-making.

Built for Research

AdaptOnyx is being developed at the intersection of:

Financial Literacy × Adaptive Learning × Educational Measurement × Learning Analytics

The platform creates opportunities to investigate important research questions:

  • Can adaptive learning improve financial literacy?
  • Can learning-process data help us understand financial decision-making?
  • Can reasoning, confidence, hint usage, correction, and transfer provide a richer assessment of financial capability?
  • Can adaptive systems identify learning gaps earlier and support more effective educational intervention?
  • And can these measures remain meaningful across different countries, languages, and cultures?

Academic & Research Partnerships

We are seeking collaborations with universities, research centers, educational institutions, and financial education organizations worldwide. Potential collaborations include:

  • Academic Validation

Validation of the pedagogical and assessment framework.

  • Joint Research

Studies examining adaptive learning, financial literacy, decision-making, and learning analytics.

  • International Pilots

Testing and adapting the platform in different educational systems.

  • Cross-Country Studies

Comparative research on how young people develop financial knowledge, reasoning, and decision-making across cultures.

  • Research Funding

Joint applications for research, innovation, and educational technology funding.

  • Academic Seminars

Research presentations and professional discussions on financial literacy, adaptive learning, and educational measurement.

From Israel to a Global Learning Platform

AdaptOnyx is currently being developed and piloted in Israel. Our architecture and long-term strategy, however, are designed for international adaptation.

Our vision is to develop a research-validated, multilingual and culturally adaptable platform that can support financial education across different educational systems and markets, including the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond.

Localization is not simply translation. Financial education differs across countries in terminology, financial products, currencies, regulation, taxation, banking systems, consumer behavior, and cultural context.

Our goal is therefore to work with local academic and educational partners to ensure that each adaptation is both educationally relevant and scientifically grounded.

Our Vision

A world in which financial education does not simply teach students what to know, but helps us understand how they learn to make better financial decisions.
